Lorna Minton - Botanical Artist

My working schedule as a botanical artist is divided between private commissions, commercial designing and teaching. For eight years I taught botanical flower painting part-time at the Berkshire College of Agriculture, but now I run private courses and workshops. I am a member of the Society for All Artists and the Henley Art and Crafts Guild.

Original watercolour paintings are held in private collections in America, Australia, Borneo, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Oman, South Africa, Sweden and the U.K. My designs have been used commercially for a wide range of products which includes greetings cards (published by the Medici Society and Polytint Cards Ltd among others); paintings for calendars, jigsaw puzzles, stationery and botanical illustrations for books, including a Kew monograph and the RHS Dictionary of Gardening.

Since 1980 I have exhibited widely and to date have had twenty solo exhibitions in various parts of Britain, Denmark and Australia.  At the Royal Horticultural Society shows in London I have been awarded three Silver-gilt medals and a Gold Medal for a collection of fifteen watercolours of Lathyrus, (Sweet Peas).

I supply my prints and greetings cards by mail order and will send an illustrated catalogue of my forty current card designs on receipt of your postal address emailed to:
